- Transtream open in another tab or window
- Your preferred subtitle language
Setup steps
- Open SOOP (AfreecaTV) in a desktop browser.
- Open Transtream and start a translation session.
- Select the SOOP (AfreecaTV) tab (or system audio) as the audio source.
- Choose the spoken language and the subtitle language.
- Place the subtitle panel where it doesn’t cover the player.
Tips
- Use a wide window instead of fullscreen so the subtitle panel sits beside the player.
- If several streams are open, select only the tab you want subtitled.
If captions don’t appear
Check that the selected tab is actually playing sound, isn’t muted, and that browser audio sharing permission is on. If you reopened the tab, reconnect the audio source.

Do I need to install an app to translate SOOP (AfreecaTV)?
No. Transtream runs in the browser and uses the audio of the tab you select.
Does Transtream record SOOP (AfreecaTV)?
No. It only shows translated captions for the audio shared with the session — it does not record, download or redistribute anything.
