- Transtream open in another tab or window
- Your preferred subtitle language
Setup steps
- Open Twitch in a desktop browser.
- Open Transtream and start a translation session.
- Select the Twitch tab (or system audio) as the audio source.
- Choose the spoken language and the subtitle language.
- Place the subtitle panel where it doesn’t cover the player.
Tips
- Theater mode gives a clean layout next to the subtitles.
- Captions may pause while an ad is playing.
If captions don’t appear
Check that the selected tab is actually playing sound, isn’t muted, and that browser audio sharing permission is on. If you reopened the tab, reconnect the audio source.

Do I need to install an app to translate Twitch?
No. Transtream runs in the browser and uses the audio of the tab you select.
Does Transtream record Twitch?
No. It only shows translated captions for the audio shared with the session — it does not record, download or redistribute anything.
Which languages are supported?
More than 40, including English, Korean, Japanese and Spanish. You choose the spoken and subtitle languages separately.
