Setup steps
- Open Discord in a desktop browser.
- Open Transtream and start a translation session.
- Select the Discord tab (or system audio) as the audio source.
- Choose the spoken language and the subtitle language.
- Place the subtitle panel where it doesn’t cover the player.
Tips
- Use Discord on discord.com so the tab audio can be selected.
- Overlapping speakers can mix up the translation.
If captions don’t appear
Check that the selected tab is actually playing sound, isn’t muted, and that browser audio sharing permission is on. If you reopened the tab, reconnect the audio source.

Do I need to install an app to translate Discord?
